Show Registration of Women will Take Place Next Tuesday Cards for the purpose not having arrived in time for the proposed reg-isliation reg-isliation for service of the women of the county today (the 10th). it has I, ce necessary to postpone until next Tiusday this very important work, (in lhat day. beginning at 1 o'clock p. in., every woman in the county why feels that she is in a position to do some kind of work for her country will resent herself for registration. The work is to be done under the. auspitts of the Relief society preside presi-de icy in all precincts where there is smh an organization, and the regular plucis of meeting of the respective organizations or-ganizations will be the places of registration. regis-tration. Other arrangements fo'r the wi'ik will be made in the "case of Green River, where no regular Relief Re-lief society organization is maintained. Mrs. Louisa Oveson, stake president of the Relief society and chairman of the women's work committee of the Em-fry Em-fry County Council of Defense, will have direct supervision of the registration regis-tration in the county, and she is Send-ir.j Send-ir.j out instructions and supplies for the purpose. Every i ff ort is to be put forth to haw the women living in the county of the age of IS and over to present themselves before the registrars and give the government the information which it requests. It is set forth that the registration is not compulsory, and that the information informa-tion given will be optional with the registrant. For those who desire to offer their services to the government, no matter of what nature, she should be sure to enter her name upon the registry list. Undoubtedly every patriotic pa-triotic women will take advantage of the appeal to offer her services to her country, whether the services which she selects is in her own homo town or abroad. Many trained women will offer their services in the capacity for which they are most suited. Agricultural, Agri-cultural, clerical, domestic, professional, profes-sional, public service, social service. Red Cross and allied relief, etc., covers the classification of the different occupations. oc-cupations. If the registrant desires training in any of the above occupations occupa-tions she should so signify in filling out her registration card. Every woman in the county should keep in mind that the object of this work is to obtain for the Government of the United States a complete, ac-I ac-I curate, and workable registration of the women of Utah who are willing j to setve their country in a manner in which they are best fitted, and com-I com-I prises those women who can give time, either at home or abroad, to meet conditions that may arise. |
