Show FUNERAL SERVICES FOR WILLIS CURTIS Another home was saddened last Saturday when word came of the untimely un-timely death at Rains of Willis Curtis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Curtis, who had been working for the Standard Coal Co. The young man, 'with his twin brother Will had taken shelter in the lea of a car while a short shower was passing when the car was unexpectedly unex-pectedly shoved ahead1 by a'n engine, the car catching the unfortunate man's head in such a way that death was instantaneous. in-stantaneous. There had been no idea of the car being moved, and when the jolt came it was terrific, according to reports. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the ward house. Counselor Aaron Oman having charge.' Ex-bishop J. Y. Jensen and Elder O. J. Anderson were the speakers and each uttered words of comfort to the bereaved relatives rela-tives and extolled the virtues of the deceased as a faithful son and brother. Pres. A. E. Wall offered the opening prayer and Elder R. C. Miller offered the benediction. The funeral was attended by a large number of relatives and sympathizing friends and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. The deceased, who was unmarried, was born July 14, 1880, in Aurora, Sevier Se-vier county, and moved to Emery county with his parents fourteen years ago, locating in Castledale, where he has since resided except for short periods per-iods away from home when his work demanded it. Surviving him are his parents, four brothers his twin brother bro-ther Will and Sterling, Carter, and Orson Or-son and four sisters, Blanche Jones, Mrs. Martha Stevenson of Sunnyside, Mrs. Lavina Haddon of Cameron, and Miss Leleath of Castledale. All except ex-cept Mrs. Jones, and the brother Carter Car-ter were able to attend the services. I The latter was one of Castledale's earl- ' iest volunteers and is now located with a cavalry troop at Douglas, Arizona and it was impossible for him to get here in time. The following relatives were present in addition to those immediately related: re-lated: Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Curtis, Mr.a nd Mrs. Ezra Mason, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
