In nominating Simon Bamberger for governor on the democratic ticket at the democratic convention last Friday, Fri-day, the democrats of Utah gave recognition re-cognition to one of the strongest and biggest characters that has been associated as-sociated with intermountain development, develop-ment, and, - at the same time, placed before the voters of Utah a man who stands a very good show of being e-lected. e-lected. Should he receive this honor at the hands of Utah's citizens, there is not a doubt that he would make an excellent executive for our state. Mr. Bamberger's candidacy is well received receiv-ed by the laboring classes as he has proved to be a friend to labor in all his development activities, and, with Utah fast taking her place as a manufacturing manu-facturing and milling as well as mining min-ing center, the vote of the laboring man is a feature to be carefully taken into consideration in placing your bet on the governorship. Both Mr. Morris, the republican nominee for governor, and Mr. Bamberger Bam-berger stand unequivocally pledged to sign a statewide prohibition law so that there is little difference to be distinguished between the two candidates can-didates on this score, though the voter j himself will have ample opportunity I before election time to figure out i whether one appears to be more sin- cere than the other in this matter.
