W. Dalton, chairman of the legal advisory board, working in con-Junction con-Junction with Attorneys Truman and DeFriez of Huntington, the other members associated with Mr. Dalton, has appointed representatives in each of the towns of the county, and it will, therefore not be necessary for any reg- . Istrant to travel far from his home ' to secure assistance in answering the questions asked. Attorney J. N. Powers has been appointed ap-pointed to attend to these matters at Green River, Principal Joseph Jenkins at Cleveland; Leo Kenney, at Mohr-land; Mohr-land; Messrs. Truman and DeFrieze at Huntington; Mr. Dalton at Castledale; Principal L. S. McQuarrie at Orange-ville; Orange-ville; Principau James M. Porter, at ' Ferron; and Principal C. H. Blake, at Emery. All these gentlemen made their prompt appearance at Castledale today, called here by Chairman Dal- ! ton, with the result that they all have a very thorough understanding of the 1 information wanted. Their ready response re-sponse is the more to be commended from the fact that the trip here was made at their own expense and ail the work will be attended to without cost to the registrant or the government. The questionnaires are being mailed out to five per cent of those registered or something like 30 questionnaires, each day, beginning today (Saturday). Seven days are given to answer the questions and get the form back to the local board, and the seven days are counted from the date of the notice sent. Therefore, it is to the interest of every registered man to keep on the lookout for his mail. It will take 20 days to mail the entire number of blanks and those who are certain of their order number (not their serial number) can figure out just about when their's should be making an appearance. ap-pearance. It seems that blank forms will be mailed to ail those who were registered on June 5th, whether they have since been drafted or have volunteered, vol-unteered, and the men in training will be expected to answer the questions as fully as those at home. With ail the information gained through answers to the questions given, the government will be in possession of a wonderful fund of information and it is to the advantage of the registrant to answer fully all the questions. As the first seven days are up the local board, which is composed of Sheriff O. W. Sitterud, Nephi L. Williams, Wil-liams, and Dr. C. T. Rose of Price, will sit as a board of review of the claims made and sustain or reject them. They are also empowered to call any registrant regist-rant before them for oral examination. |
