NONRESIDENT OPEN BULL AREA PERMITS are valid only in the areas and on the dates specified in Section A.I.a. Application may be made in person or by mall to the main office of the Division of Wildlife Resources. These permits will be issued on a served basis. Apfirst come-fir- plicants must either have previously purchased a 1977 Nonresident Big Game License and must include the number with their application, or must apply for uch license with their eik permit application. Applications for the license must Include; full name, complete address, date of birth, weight, height, sex and color of hair and eyes. Gst of the Nonresident Big Game License is $75 00, and the Nonresident Ooen Bull Elk Permit is an additional $75 00. A money order or certified check in the correct amount must accompany all applications. The number of 1977 nonresident elk permits is restricted to 125. In the event that a nonresident is unsuccessful in obtaining an elk permit, he may still be issued the Nonresident Big Game License if he so specifies in his letter of application. In such cases, the $75 00 cost of the permit will be returned with his Big Game License. If the Nonresident Big Game License is not specifically requested, the fees for both the license and eik permit ($150.00) will be returned. TAGGING All animals must be tagged immediately after kill and before being transported. It shall be unlawful to notch more than one date, sex of animal or to mutilate the tag. It shall oe unlawful to hunt or pursue game with tag detached from the permit. The above provisions shall not apply to personnel or authorized agencies involved in search and rescue operations, or to employees of the Division of in the disWildlife Resources charge of their duties. 13. SPOTLIGHTING GAME It shall be unlawful for any person, or ore or more persons, to throw or cast the ravs of any spotlight, headlight, or other light on any highway cr in any field, woodland or forest upon any game animal white having in his possession or under his control any firearm or weapon whereby such animal could be killed even though the animal is not killed, iniured, shot at, or otherwise pursued. The provisions of this section do not apply in a caw where the headlights of a motor vehicle operated in a usual manner on a highway cast a light on such an animal near or on such highway and there is no attempt or intent to locate the animal 14. TRANSPORTING GAME WITHIN THE STATE which have Big game animal been taken by legal methods may be transported anywhere in the State bv the permit holder, provided that the animal is property tagged and the permittee has in his possession a valid Big Game or Combination License and appermit Big game propriate which has been legally taken may be transported bv an individual other than the permit holder, provided that the animal is properly tagged and Is accompanied bv the hunting license and permit belonging to the individual who took the animal and written authorization for transport of the animal listing the following information (1) date ot kill; (2) location of kill; (3) species and sex of anima' being transported, (4) origin and destination of such transportation; (S) the name of the hunter killing the animal; and (6) the name of the individual transporting the animal. Protected wildlife may be transported without the above licenses, permits, or authorization providing a valid shipping permit is obtained from an authorized representative of the Division of Wildlife Resources. 20. EXPORTING BIG GAME FROM THE STATE . NONRESIDENT Big game or parts thereof may be exported from Utah only when accompanied by a valid Nonresident Big Game Hunting License and proper permit card corresponding with the tag attached to the animal or when accompanied by a legal shipping permit issued by authorized persons. b RESIDENT Big game or parts thereof mav be exported from Utah only wnen accompanied IN PERSON by a resident who possesses a valid big game hunting license and permit corresponding with the tag at tached to the animal NO PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED FOR TRANSPORTING BIG GAME OUT OF THE STATE KILLED ON RESIDENT LICENSE OR PERMIT. 21. IMPORTATION OF GAME MEAT INTO UTAH It shall be unlawful for anyone to sell or offer for sale any game meat obtained within Utah or imported into Utah from another country or state. 22. PURCHASE OR SALE OF WILDLIFE ft is unlawful to purchase, sell, offer for sale, barter or otherwise dispose of or obtain for sale, purchase or barter any big game or parts thereof except heads, hides, antlers and horns as herein provided. Heads, horns and ant lers of legally taken animals may not be purchased, sold or traded during the period August 15 through December 15; they may be purchased, sold or traded during the period December 16 through August 14. Fresh hides of legally taken animals may be purchased, sold or traded during established big game seasons or subsequent thereto. 23. WASTING WILDLIFE It is unlawful to waste or permit to be wasted or spoiled any big game. 24. HUNTING UNDER INFLU- ENCE OF ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS. It is unlawful for any person to possess or use weapons in the taking of any big game whiie under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs. 25. TRESPASS Any person entering upon privately owned land of any other person, firm or corporation which is properly posted, without permission from the owner or person in charge, is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. Any person who upon request of the owner or person in charge of private land shall refuse to immediately leave such private land, whether posted or not, is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. Any person who without the owner' permission shail obstruct any entrance or exit to private property is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. Any person convicted of vioof this lating any provisions section while in the act of hunting or fishing may have his license, certificate or permit relating to the activity engaged in at the time of such violation revoked by ttve Division, and such person mav not obtain another license, certificate or permit for that activity until a period of one year shall elapse from tne dote of revoca tion. UNLAWFUL TO AID OR ASSIST It is unlawful for any person to aid or assist any other person to violate any rule or regulation. 27. UNLAWFUL PERMITS AH permits applied for or obtained shall be unlawfully seized and shall be null and void.
