Show DEATH OF A after a lingering illness covering a period ot of some eighteen months mrs 0 L ambrose formerly miss bernice valentine of this city passed to the great greal beyond at her home in salt lake city day morning from the effects ot of cancer deceased was 43 years ot of age last may mrs airs ambrose was born bom and reared la in this city and during her girlhood days was very popular among tho the young folks ol of brigham Grig ham she was the daughter or of ex bishop august valentine and the late mary alary it if valentine while still in her teens bernice aa she was then familiarly called became the wife ot of mr hans jensen ot of this city and by this union a son was born into the jensen home shortly after this mr air jensen was drowned la in snake river and some months later the young widow was called to part with her baby boy some years later mrs airs jensen became the wife ot of mr 0 L ambrose a telegraph operator things went smoothly tor for it a time and by this unton union two sons were m ere born nho bo have now grown to young manhood later mr air ambrose became afflicted with tuberculosis cu losis ls during the ravages of this disease upon his system the family moved around considerable for the benefit ot of his health living in idaho washington california texas and old mexico while at the latter place the health of mr air ambrose declined go 50 rapidly that the end was apparently near at af hand so the family moved back to texas where mr air ambrose died about fifteen years ago mrs airs ambrose then came back to utah and resided in BrIgham for Tor a short time anally making her home in salt lake city where she resided until the time ot of her death mrs ambrose was a woman ot of sterling character honest upright and a friend on whom one could always rely she has seen much trouble in life but always bore up bravely putting 10 4 tin forth the best side bide and even up to the last after long months ot of excruciating crucia ting pain died with a smile upon her lips and without a complaint the remains were brought to this city yesterday and funeral services are being held in the first ward meeting house today dishop blackburn Dlack bum obanda house this afternoon |
