Show ORANGEVILLE 4 ; The sad catastrophe of the break- I ing of the Mammoth reservoir above Price, and the untimely death of one 'of Orangeville's moBt beautiful daughters, daugh-ters, Miss Hattie Peacock, has cast a pall of gloom over this town that It will take some time to remove. Going to her death in the bloom of life and health, only those who have mot with just such conditions and experiences can sense in its entirety the depth of the bereavement although all can sympathize with the suddenly bereaved bereav-ed family. The funeral services for i the deceased was to be held yesterday I (Friday) afternoon at the residence of j the family. I Robt. J. Reitl of Orangeville was (married to Miss Maud Miller of Moab at that town on the 12th inst., after which date they became residents of Sail Lake City where Mr. Reld is employed. em-ployed. C.J. Reid and Misses Koleen Jewkcs and Rhea Lamplaugh made a flying visit to relatives and friends here the last of last week and just got back to Salt Lake on the last train before the havoc wrought by the flood in Price River canyon stopped traffic on the railroad. We haven't had a news paper since last Sunday's paper and we don't know what is going on in the outside world. We cannot tell whether the war Is still going on or the Germans are crying cry-ing for peace. We hope the latter Is the case, however, and that the end is near. |
