Show 14 YEARS AGO From the Progress of Mar. 23, 1901 Mrs. D. T. Thomander, who is in Salt Lake for treatment of an ulcer on her right eye, is reported to be getting along nicely. County Clerk Fox on Wednesday issued is-sued a mariage license to O. H. Guy-mon, Guy-mon, aged 21, and Ellen Fowler, aged 20, both of Huntington. Henry Thompson of Ferron returned from. Price Thursday, where he and Charlie Taylor shipped over 800 head of cattle, 17. carloads in all. Nearly all of these cattle came from Emery countv. Part of them were billed for Grand Junction and part for Julesburg, Colo. "The Ferron Drug Store" is the name of a new enterprise in Ferron, which was launched this week by Dr. Pearson of Castledale and Fred A. Killpack of Ferron. The latter gentleman will conduct con-duct the business in the corner building formerly occupied by the Killpack store. Success to the enterprise. Bessie, the beloved daughter of Mr. j and Mrs. Niels C. Andersen, died at her home in Emerv last Friday night. Seely jr., was thrown from a horse while driving cattle in the vicinity of Cleveland Thursday and quite badly bruised. He came to his home in this city yesterday in company with his brother bro-ther Hyi urn. A young Sunnyside girl sent a half dollar to a Denver firm who promised for that sum to send a receipt how to get fat. Four days afterward she received re-ceived a postal card on which was written, writ-ten, "Buy it of the butcher."
