Show M.I. A. BALL IS SUCCESS The Stake M. I. A. bull and double-header double-header basket ball game given in the Academy hall last night was a huge success from every point of vr w. The hall was literally crowded . with people from all over the" county, and what looked best, perhaps, was the mingling of the parents with the young people. Over twenty cars from out of town came loaded down with dancers and basketball fans while many came by team from all over. The games started shortly after 7:30 when Huntington and Ferron played the first half of their game. Huntington Hunting-ton took the lead in this ghme and m?intained it throughout though the game was a fast one throughout, the boys on both sides doing nobly. As soon as the first half was over, the Orangeville and Cleveland team took the floor and played one of the fastest games of the season. Finishing up (he first half of the game with the score 11 to 8 the Cleveland boys made it a nip-and-tuck contest during the last half with a spurt of excellent basket-throwing. basket-throwing. The score see s iwed back and forth for several minutes toward, the close when Orangeville made 3 field baskets in succession and finished the game 23-21 in fheir favor. The Hunt-ington-Ferron game resulted 13 7 in favor of Huntington. A great deal of credit i3 due the teams from all the towns for the ex- j cellent showing made in the face of obstacles ob-stacles encountered by all of them. Some had had very little practice while others were forced to play men who were not regular members of the team. But'they all entered into the spirit of the affair and played for all they were worth. . ,.
