The family is one of the number th it have been forced to leavethe southt-n republic, but contrary to the usual treatment treat-ment accorded tins' sulforers. this party, when uwy io,.l a minister hold ing forthjwith tent services at Green River, that they were Mormons, were most rudely ignored and told that they had no sympathy for them. Current gossip goes a lUtle further and reports the statement that "there are but four Mormons left here (in Green River) and we expect to get them routed out in short order." Such are the principals of life and living of some people. Here, the family (Young, by name) was clothed, fed and started for Black Hawk, where work is awaiting th.j husband and father, and all done with the hopes and prayers of local people. Clothing, food, shelter and needed medicines were freely given to the sufferers suf-ferers and the words of gratitude ar reward enough for these substantial expressions of sympathy. |
