Show (sisnty Jjj HUNTINGTON The 8th of November is gone and the past two weeks has been used in a harangue 'red hot preparing for the electral occasion Wednesday was a most quiet day all parties hardly talk-i talk-i ed above a whisper when inquiring after the results of the day. We have not heard of any serious damage done, so all is well that ends well. Last Sunday, fast day, the baby crop for the past month were as follows and blessed: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Allred, a boy; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Leroy, a boy; Mr. and Mrs. James Gordon; a boy Mr. and Mrs. Dave Leonard, a boy; Mr. and Mrs. Peter McElprang, a girl; Mr. and Mrs. Del Marshall, a boy. All have concluded its a good crop and will shield and protect them for future use. The Mercantile Co. just getting another an-other car load of lumber to town also a whole lot of doors and windows. J. B. Johnson who was operated on for some kind of an internal growth dy Drs. Coleman and Tinges is once more going about the town, nicely on the road to recovery. He was in a very bad condition for a few days as his looks will certify being considerably reduced in flesh as well as the sun-tan is gone from his face. The District schools have been having some nice programs of late, but we have been unable to get a synopsis of what they did, the Misses Mathie and Tullis have had a nice corner in the Beginners Be-ginners and Primary departments. McKee's have moved to their new home on Main street and are comfortably comfort-ably located therein and much of their time is spent looking down on their friends and neighbors, but we hope not in scorn as that is not their natural make up. We wish them well in their new quarters. Lucern seed is still coming in, many teams daily are unloading at different seed markets. Emery county is surely very fortunate in having an extra large crop of seed. A No. 1 buying price in the dirt as high as 13 cents that means lots of money for Emery county. No body sick in Huntington is our complaint this week and everybody was able to help to help keep the dance going go-ing on election night until 7 a. m. about 25 or 30 couple remaining to the last. MOLEN As it appears we have no correspondent correspond-ent from here, I take the liberty of writing you these few lines to inform you we are still on the map. and all we need to make us equal to any other place in the county is a few more people We have lots of good land and plenty of water and can offer any kind of inducements in-ducements to people who desire homes. Last Monday night after conference at Ferron the Stake Presidency and Apostle George F. Richards came to Molen and effected a Ward organization. J. E. Caldwell was chosen bishop with J. D. Killpack as first and H. P. Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Jr. as. second counselors. The health of the people is good. Threshing is over and the crops have been good except alfalfa seed which is very light. |
