As as Mr Gobbler is the cranberry sauce Cranberries are not only native to our soil but they settled solidly into the bogs about Plymouth long before the Mayflower landed there in 1621 The Pilgrims called them “marsh rubies” and soon began to cultivate them Today thanks to our modem American transportation system we can buy fresh cranberries anywhere in the country the season long So good as cranberry sauce is try some real special holiday recipes starring this native fruit Pudding cake relish cocktail salad pie all specially delicious when made with cranberries but have you ever tried Cranberry Ice Cream?
