Duane Christensen, who used to be our sports editor, and who is one of the fine young newspapermen to come out of Logan. Duane is public information officer at Fort Lee, Virginia, and is in charge of publishing a right smart weekly, "Fort Lee Traveller." Its about the largest of the service newspaper.. and since the format was changed back in May, lias come in for a lot of praise. The tabloid formerly was a tabloid and was published by a field printing plant on the post at a cost of about $15,000 per year to the government. Circulation was 3800 weekly. In May, in order to get more space for better coverage, the public information office drew up an agreement with a newspaper in a nearby town whereby they were to handle all advertising and composition, and the post handle the copy. No longer is there any cost attached to the government for printing the paper. More inches are devoted to news coverage every week, and circulation has jumped to 7000 each Friday. y leave In time Duane expects to get home for a 10. on in Virginia about been Oct. to see the Utah game Hes 30-da- 14 months.
