Show TWO BIG RECEPTIONS CIVEN THE PAST WEEK List Tuesday was given the welcome home reception to our townsman, Ex-Bishop Ex-Bishop John Y. Jensen, who returned recently from laboring in the Manti temple, where he performed a very commendable mission. The reception was given in the Relief Society hall, but that proved much too small for the large crowd out to welcome our brother home- F. M. Reynolds, in a few well worded remarks welcomed Bro. Jensen and that gentleman responded re-sponded most h?artily. Dancing took up the major portion of the evening but a short program consisting of a humorous resitation by George Gorgen-son Gorgen-son and a quartet by Frank Reynolds and company was also rendered. A light luncheon was served by the sisters Thursday afternoon a farewell party was given Mrs. Kathinka Anderson who soon leaves to join her husband O. J. Anderson who is laboring in the Norway mission field. The party was given in an effort to show Sister Anderson And-erson the esteem in which she is held here in the Dale by the peoDle generally but by the sisters especially, among whom she has been a most willing and helpful worker. The party was a success in every way. - |
