Representative Wm.J.Seely returned to Salt Lake Thursday upon the dismissal dis-missal of the Rod McDonald case, his position as recorder at the time of the alleged forgry having made his presence pres-ence here necessary. Dr. Claude Riddle, recently practicing practic-ing in Salt Lake and formerly head of a department in an eastern school, will take up his abode with us in a very short time, the doctor having decided to practice here. He will move his family out in a couple of weeks. The good word comes from Cleveland Cleve-land that those -people are alive" to their opportunity and are doing a great amount of road worj to connect them with the -Midland trail. They have a perfectly straight stretch of 10 milee of the prettiest road imaginable over their way it seems. The town board met last Monday and canvassed the special election returns, attended to incidental matters and then proceeded to spend the evening with contractor John C. Lyman, listening to his proposition for installation. At another an-other meeting Tuesday afternoon, arrangements ar-rangements were partially made to re tain him as engineer-supervisor, though J the actual buying and supervising wil1 i be done under the direction of the town board.
