Show V ) HUNTINGTON Haying is now at hand and many are busy. A good job to busy the folks while there are no gatherings in town, all being quiet, the people stay at home. The wind blew a regular "Jimmie Cane" for awhile Tuesday forenoon. It seemed to take delight in making the tree tops sway in the breeze, at times nearly brushing the ground. G. W. Johnson hs bought the McKee home on Centre street and will make his residence there. It will be handy in looking after the opera hous 3. He can take a nap in the evening when there is a dance before the dancers come, as they seldom arrive before 10 o'clock. At our election on Tusd i y the voting stood about one twentith wet, so it ; looks as though we will have to con-inue con-inue without our boo--ooz house. CLEVELAND The wedding reception given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. David Nielsen of Eph-raim Eph-raim was given at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. T. Larsen on Wednesday, June 28th. The tables were beautifully decorated with roses and a grand dinner was served, of which seventy guests partook. A free dance was given in the evening. The young couple left for Ephraim yesterday yester-day and many good wishes follow them on their journey through life. ; The brick for our new school house ! are now burned and the mason work will begin about the 5th of July. j Contractor Fredericksen and son went j to Wellington Tuesday to bid on the , Wellington schoolhouse, but some Salt i Lake contractor got it. J Mrs. Thura Olsen has had her house I moved out to Elmo this week, where she will make her home. Her daughter Stella had a severe attack of appendicitis, append-icitis, but by the skillful hands of Dr. Hill of Huntington .J now out of danger. The roof is now on the new home of : Erick Larsen, Worth Tucker and Charley j Christensen being the builders. Work has started in earnest on the addition to our social hall, which in the ; future will be in the hands of the Y. L. , M. I. A. i The health of the people is good at present, no sickness at all. j |
