But, We can improve our bodies to a certain degree after having re(pivid them from our parental geem plasm. Probably no factor in health building is more neglected in our time than is exercise. The average person these days is trying to buy his health m a bottle at the corner drug stoie. He fries vibrating machines, massage, dieting, this fad and that. He will succumb to almost any device for healths, sake except a good workout. Exercise will not cure all the ills of mankind, but it would certainly help the average American. Some of the more obvious effects of exercise would be to develop strength and organic fitness. It results in an improved appetite, better elimination and, in children, a stimulation of growth. There are guide posts in any normal life which help to maintain mental as well as physical health. Mental health is attained by the successful adaptation of the individual to those around him. It is the purpose of mental hygiene to assist in solving of mental conflicts which come in some form in many lives, such as fear, worry, hatred, jealousy, or superiority or inferiorty complexes. A happy, well of slow adjusted life is often growth, but can be accomplished through repeated effort. "Effort is the price of everything". Men and women have grown strong fiom youth who . have overcome mental conflicts through persistent effort and a coi respondingly fine self control. Health and long life, theiv ars n0( guaranteed They are won by intelligent effort. Education for bealth is an important part of education. HM Size 52x52". V vi Spring Maid printed table cloths.
