sons ahe country doubtless will not put them out of the way by assassination for it has learned the world does not approve of that method of change of monarchs the world still turning a cold shoulder to the 1 atle country tucked in there by austila hungary roumania bulgaria turkey and moaten gro peter s oldest son crown prince george i not a very pleasant youth he is reported as un fortunate possessor of a most ungovernable tern per if the stories be true it would seem he is not fit to attempt governing anybody until he learns considerably more about controlling him self in this day and age a prince may not with impunity hoot at his tuter when the tutor enters the school room to begin the day s work may not strike an officer with a whip s amply because the officer conveys a piece of unwelcome news and a youth of 18 so foolish as to try to batter down a locked iron gate with a bicycle is of a degree of tool ashness calling for general contempt the crown prince recently distressed father and governors by a show of fondness for the society of a gay actress and the affair went so far the gay actress was informed the air of belgrade certainly would impair her health it she were to remain she gracefully withdrew to V enna the pance pre followed but was finally brought back by lit Monte and serviano ians are really the same people and there is probability that the second son of the prince of montenegro may be asked to become of servia for various reasons prince mirko would not be a bad choice the two dynasties and dobrenovic Obre are united in this prince he might easily prove a candidate agreeable to both factions of the country his wife who is a strikingly beautiful woman belongs to the Obre novie family pance mirko is brother in law ot peter his sister now dead was wife of servia s present king COMMANDER IN CHIEF GERMAN NAVY the keisers kaisers s only surviving brother has been appointed commander in ch et of the german navy succeeding admiral edward von knorr prince henry of prussia is 1 far and wide as the allor pance and now stands at the head of the pavy of the german empire A jolly tar is the conventional phrase al sea faring men supposedly good fellows it ap pears prince henry of prussia is no excretion to the rule we all remember how often on his recent visit to america he was assured of being a good fellow a jolly good fellow in his own country the prince goes by this name is accounted pleas ant and jovial they say a sailor s life is apt to take the non sense out of a man and that both king haakon of norway and pance henry of prussia two royal sailors are demoi ratio and simple in their tastes would ghe indication that certain virtues lies in a sailor s training the german prince is said to have a great e for court life but that does not necessarily mean he is nothing of a court er or cipio mat on his visit here the prince won everybody by his charm of manner A gallant sailor prince henry rhe new coan ander is quite youthful 44 years old but with enough years to have had very considerable experience in the navy he was but i small boy when he began his apprenticeship and it is declared his advance has been through merit alone prince henry is a prime favorite with the kaiser and that he should hold this place is small wonder henry once saved his brother s life back in 1874 it was when the two were swimming in the havel near the so called marble palace SENATOR SPOONER WISCONSIN one beara more often does one hot of the western meu li congress con giess than of gentlemen from the effete easta it is bit part
