Hnd official announcement of details of the program will be issued from the war department, the college officials explained. General program outline calls for students to work in defense industries during the week end as a measure to help finance their college studies and to help in the labor shortage. In the initial stage the program (alls for only 200 students, but this number will be increased later, President E. G. Peterson announced. Applications for the employment should be directed to the offue of Jack Croft, dean of men at the college, by male students who are physically capable of working in Ihe defense plants. This employment of students will be correlated with the need for agiicultural labor, and the demand from these two sources will be worked out cooperatively by the college officials and the war fjihee h. taken In War v $ - bureau, ,lms 1 Srpt. 22 Q .re -CAamiy Planes exp, oded and T0 :lthin 15 miles of each Maine today said both crews per- t, 1'.r t!!' - ?. -- part-tim- at It ' ?'
