JAYCEES Included on the Preston junior chamber of commerce program for 1939-4- 0 is the task of illuminating the city for the yuletime season, it has been announced by officers. This project, formerly conducted by the senior chamber in Preston, was turned over to the junior group this year and an enthusiastic committee headed by Dowe Byington has begun work preparatory to the lighting. City employes began Tuesday morning stringing wires along the main business streets and laying the skeletal srtuctures for the elaborate decorations to follow. Also included in the Christmas lighting scheme is the annual home lighting contest which is being conducted for a second time this year in Preston. There will be prizes for every entrant in this contest, Junior chamber officials have assured. Several of the major mercantile houses in Preston have opened their toy departments which has served as initial--yul- eatmosphere in the city, though most of the business houses have chosen to wait a week or two before unveiling the Christmas wares.
