Show PAGE TWELVE TIIE HER Special Literature LOGAN, UTAH, ALD-JOURNA- A course in American literature intended for the special benefit of those wishing to correlate the teaching and study of Ameruan literature with Ameruan political and social history will be Introduced at the 1939 summer session of Completes integrating The Herald-JournLogan Utah Dear Sirs. Upon receipt of this letter will you kindly discontinue sending me the Herald-JournI will be released within this coming week and after a two week trip throughout the state of California visiting friends and different points of interest I will be home My folks are going to meet me in Los Angeles and we shall make this trip together We are intending to spend a few days at the World's Fair in San Francisco It is with regret that I see my mission come to a close, but they say all good things must come to an end My missionary work has been a wonderful experience and the happiest time of ray life. I have truly enjoyed my stay in California. With its beauty and delightful climate the year around makes it an ideal place for missionary work Pacific Grove, the town I have been laboring in for the past three months, is a very interesting and pretty place. It is located on the Monterey Bay Peninsula and is one of the first places setHed in the state of California The mam occupation here is fishing and several fisn canneries are in operation part of the year. The coast line along the bay is very rugged and is considered the most beautiful along the Pacific coast Many writers and painters come here every year and are inspired by the beauty in producing their work. I have appreciated very much your kindness in sending me the Herald-Journand wish to thank you very much for it. It has kept me posted on national affairs and news from home that I never would have received otherwise for which I appreciate a great deal. Sincerely, Carma Gamble.
