Smith, with Mrs. Emily Darley, Monday Spring Banquet Honors Second At Hotel Anniversary The contract bridge series at the Hotel Eccles will continue Wednesday evening on the mezzanine floor with Miss Marie Barber as hostess. The event is proving increasingly popular with bridge enthusiasts of Logan. The same arrangements that were carried out so successfully last Wednesday will be used again this week, according to W. J. Carlisle who is sponsoring the affair. inMiss Barber, an kpproved structor in the Culbertson system introduced here a short time ago by Prof. E. A. Denham, will open the tea with a half hour lecture on fundementals of the system at 7:30 p. m. This will be followed by play at the tables from 8 o'clock until the close. During this period, Miss Barber will offer personal aid and instruction to the players. This arrangement proved popular with those who attended last week, particularly the novices. Miss Barber made it plain Tuesday that beginners may start the series at any time. She is glad and willing to assist any who may start. Arrangements have been made so that pny particular group can play together if they wish or individuals will meet at the tables. There is always room for anyone and no one need stay away because they are not a member of a Mr. certain group, according to Carlisle. Student Officers Guests At Party Miss May McCarry entertained the members of the student body of the Logan Senior high school and the newly elected officers, at the Bluebird Monday afternoon. A business meeting was held after which a dainty lunch was served.
