Cache groups interested in pea growing anti canning are hopeful the cannery in the valley will run next than car- bonated water were ronsumed in the United States last year. Sugar beet farmers of the valley experienced a fair crop season in 1931 that netted more than a million dollars to them. Another good beet crop this season, along with generous planting of peas, beans, dry farm crops, and more alfalfa hay should prove a boon to agriculturists of this section during the coming crop season. Up lo the present time, although Cache Valley is one of the richest sections in the intermountain area, and is particularly adapted to dairying, most of the hay consumed for winter cattle feeding is imported. Farm crop specialists have long been of the opinion that Cache farmers with added effort and more consideration given to study of plant diseases could add at least a ton per acre to their annual hay crops. Idaho and other sections of the intermountain area have realized much money from Cache farmers the last few seasons through hay exerts to this section. With proper consideration given more extensively to hay production to increase acreage yield, Cache might soon become an exporting rather than an importing hay center. More dairy cows, swine, sheep and poultry are needed in this valley to increase the income which farmers derive annually from the long hours of exacting labor characteristic of the spring, summer and fall farming activity in the west. To make each acre yield more, to make every farmstead better balanced as to livestock and crop diversity, should be part of tjie Cache farmers 1932 program. fumes of oragressional tions, which are 90 per cent gas and 10 per rent hot air and the to hatchet is ward off the atwild tacks of gressiuen, of w horn many were lussoed on native in 5000 ' prairies and sent to Washington years. , How about radio their original, untamed condition. crooning?
