Paradise Mrs. Maud Olsen entertained at her home Saturday evening at a miscellaneous showei in compliment to her daughter Mildred, a bride of the month. The evening was spent in social chat and the playing of games after which a delicious lunch was served to 60 guest. Teachers and members of tne first year Bee hive crass of the M. I. A. entertained the mother at a social Tuesday evening. An exhibit of the work done by the girls were on display- Game were played and a two course Class lunch was served by leaders Delone Maddox and Pearl Johnson. Under the auspices of the Relief Society of the Avon and Paradise wards, all children of the district school who carry their lunch are served with hot soup during the noon hour. A farewell party was held in the Avon ward Friday evening for Elder James Knowles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Knowles 6r. Elder Knowles leaves Salt Lake City, Dec. lo for the north central states mission.
