Show THE PAGE FOUR HERALD-JOURNA- LOGAN, L, UTAH, IRK A Every Weik - day Afternoon Ce liter street. Logan, Howdy, folks! Prof. Einstein says he is close to the solution of the riddle of the universe. WTien he solves that, let him explain how thousands of persons can be without food in a country in which there is so much foodstuff it has to be thrown away. TRUTH QUICK Neither th. newspaper, rior any of its stockholders or officials has any connection whatem, dnectly or iti' cctly, with any political party, public utility, real estate promotion or other private business except the publication of newspapers devoted solely to disinterested puolic service. LEWISTON Jcar Friend, As a prospective college student we want to welcome you to laigan and the Utah Stale Agricultural College. The Logan Chamber of Commerce is proud of the college and oi its recoid in the training of young men and women. We Lave also been immensely pleased with the uniformly high type of students who have come hcTe. Lop an has a great deal to offer the prospective student. It is a ft iendly city, and it seems to us to be absolutely ideal at a college "town. Beautifully situated it is large enough to furnish the students with all of their needs and it is small enough to escape the moral evils which seem to be present in nearly all of our larger cities. The moral tone of the community is extremely high. The students at the college seem to have a delightful tiiRp in their social activities, but these activities are conducted on a high plane. The cost of living is unusually low in Logan. Chamber of Commerce officials recently made a survey of board and room conditions for students. We have found that the average cost for board and room will not exceed $24 and it may he lower. This includes two meals a day and a comfortable room for a calendar month, not simply four weeks. This is remarkably low as you know. Many of the college students live together in small groups and do their own housekeeping and we have been reliably informed that tho.-- o students have a board and room charge of from $12 to $14 a month. Other costs are correspondingly low. The Logan Chamber of Commerce is interested in you We would like to have you attend the College here, because we know' that you would be delighted with the social life that you would find, and that you would get the finest like of scholastic training. Should you come here we want you to visit the Chamber of Commerce club rooms. Representatives of the organization will be available and we shall always be ready to do anything tha.t we possibly can. To help you. As an organization we want .to be the first to come you to our community for the coming college year, Veiv truly vours, B. (I THATCHER, President J. A.
