Library books to remember 'September 11th f t The Magna Arts Council and the Magna Recreation Center will be starting a new Arts and Crafts in the Park program two days a week through September. "If we have a good turnout we will expand the program," said Anna Beth Mecham, publicity chairwoman of the Arts Council. We will be working closely with the Magna Recreation Center, helping to sponsor fee event. Arts and Crafts in the Park will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning on Sept. 9. and continuing each Monday and Wednesday from 6 p.m., in the Pleasant Green Park field next to the Recreation Center. Participants in grades kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to learn about and create a variety of art project The fee for Arts and Crafts in the Park is $3 per class or $12 for fee six classes. Students will be making pinatas, windsocks, bird masks, magnet art classroom banners and Halloween projects as well as other activities. Instruction will be by the Magna Recreation Center staff and members of fee Magna Arts Council.
