Last Wednesday I had the opportunity to go to West Lake Junior High and be a part of their assembly. The faculty and student body officers worked extra hours to put on the marvelous show. Music was performed by Miss Strassburg's choir and as always it was perfect! Malynda Cloward did a terrific job in getting everything organized. Art teacher Patty Houston helped spearheaded the project and got many wonderful prizes to give out to students during the assembly. iss Rounds oversaw the sound system and provided expect instruction on what everyone needed to do with the microphone system. Mrs. Morley explained to the students the importance of never giving up and striving to do more. She related how her health situation and the Olympic values were similar. She was bom July 4, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas to Selso and Adelina Garcia Luna. She married Jose Leos, October 13, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas. Estella was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and the entire families lives revolved around her and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband; children, Josie (Jose) Meza, Joe Jr., Manuel (Mary Jo), Linda To Leos; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Preceded in death by parents; children, Frank Leos, Jaun Leos, Juanita Flores and one grandchild, Jose Anjel Meza. Stansbury's position will be filled by Janet Winger who is now at Jim Bridger. Arlene Alt, principal at Hunter Elementary will move to Jim Bridger. Taking her place will be Dorthea Gray who is now principal at Rosecrest. Becker will be the at Rosecrest. These appointments will be effective July 1. We will miss Frankie, but wish her the best. She has been a wonderful example to the students at the school and to all of us who have been fortunate enough to work with Rex her. the last school board Atmeeting, approval was given to Granite High School and Granite Park Junior High to participate in r a pilot program. Granite Park will be the home to students who attend seventh and eighth grade in the area. Granite High will have ninth thru twelfth grades. This will begin the fall of 2003. This will be a first for the district.
