As flags throughout the state were lowered to half mast in remembrance of those whose lives were lost in the tragedy, local officials expressed remorse for the victims and concern about the security for the upcoming O pr t 1 y, Cyprus High School Homecoming activities got underway with the traditional Homecoming Parade up Magnas Main Street Wednesday evening. Featured in the parade were the Cyprus High School Pirate g Band and the Spinnakers drill team. Area Schools, part of the Cyprus Learning Network also participated in the parade, including the Brockbank Cheerleaders, above, and an Olympic march from all the elementary schools in the network. At right, students from Magna Elementary school representing the country of Hungary showed their support for the upcoming Olympics. "Almost everyone knows someone that has been a victim of domestic violence," said Area Councilman Jared Winder, who heads the councils Public Safety Committee.
