Also pictured are her son John 2 12 and her husband Curtis Schriener. photo provided by Stephen Zusy Obituary Alice Elizabeth Prestridge Our beloved mother and grandmother, Alice Elizabeth Prestridge, 94, died Aug. 18, in West Valley City, Utah. Alice was bom Sept. 13, 1906 to William Richard and Mary Jane Johnson Anderson in Manti, Utah. She married John Thomas Prestridge on April 15, 1933 in Rupert, Idaho, later sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in 1958. A g member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, she was very active in Relief Society where she earned a Compassionate Service award. Alice was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She leaves behind a great legacy. Alice is survived by her children Loma Beth (Ted) Brower, Burley, ID; Joyce Lorraine . (Gordon) Jensen, Fountain Valley, CA; Dovie Darlene Cambra, Magna, UT and Marvin John life-lon- Baby girl was born to parents Sonya Lloyd and Brian Spiker of Magna on Aug. 4. -Baby boy was bom to parents Sherrie and Steven Clements of Salt Lake City on Aug. 15. -Baby girl was bom to parents Bridget Clark and Richard Dumas of Midvale on Aug. 15. Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001 at the Lake Ridge 6th Ward, 3606 Wingpointe Drive., Magna, UT. Interment was at Gem Memorial Gardens, Burley, ID on Friday, Aug. 24. 1 According to Utah Safety Council estimates, four Utahns may die in motor vehicle crashes this Labor Day weekend as the 101 Critical Days of Summer come to a close. More individuals die in motor vehicle crashes and recreational activity injuries during the period between Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend than any other time of the year. Have your vehicle inspected and tuned, allow plenty of travel time, bring games and toys to keep children entertained and fight fatigue by getting plenty of sleep prior to travel and taking rest stops every 90 minutes. Slow down and drive the speed limit. Speeding continues to be the number one contributing factor in fatal crashes. During bad weather, slow down and increase following distance. Pull over and wait out the storm if necessary. Respect other travelers by safe and fun holiday and to remember that whatever the activity, protect yourself and your family by practicing safe habits.
