Community College students glittered gold and tow other shined silver this week at the national collegiate marketing competition. Brandon Peterson, of Riverton and Michele Mobley, of Sandy were crowned national champions while Laytons Jared Youngman and Scott Bramhall earned second-plac- e finishes at the 39th annual national Delta Epsilon Chi contest April 18 in Louisville, Ky. Leeann Gray, of Salt Lake City, finished third. Delta Epsilon Chi is a national organization dedicated to students pursuing careers in marketing and business management and provides students with hands-oexperience needed in business careers. SLCCs students who are competing in this year's national Delta Epsilon Chi competition maintain a n 3.2 average. grade-poi- Two SLCC students, Stephanie Ziolkowski, of Murray, and Stacia Pentz, of West Valley City, were honored with the National Delta Epsilon Chi Marketing Education Award, signifying their outstanding participation in the associations activities as well as their high scholastic achievement. "Our students put forth tremendous effort and support each other in preparation and competition, said Curtis Youngman, SLCC marketing and business communication professor who advises the student chapter.
