Ines Hernandez, son of Antolino Ventura and Ines Rodriguez of Kearns, Utah, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps recruiting depot, San Diego, California. Hernandez successfully completed 12 weeks of training designed to challenge new Marine recruits both physically and mentally. Hernandez and fellow recruits began their training at am, by running three miles and performing calisthenics. In addition to the physical conditioning program, Hernandez spent numerous hours in classroom and field assignments which included learning first aid, uniform d regulations, combat water survival, marksmanship, combat and assorted weapons training. They performed close order drill and operated as a small infantry unit during field training. Hernandez and other recruits also received instruction on the Marine Corps core values- - honor, courage, and commitment, and what those words mean in guiding personal and professional conduct Hernandez and fellow recruits ended the training team effort, problem phase with the Crucible, a hand-to-han- Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Adrian R Broadhead has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Boradhead is the son of Marilyn J. and Monte G Broadhead of 3212 Meadow Wood Way, Taylorsville Utah. He is a 1999 graduate of Cottonwood High School Salt Lake City, Utah.
