Causing much of the interest is the afternoons nonstop 120 array of talent performances, demonstrations and displays. Maxine Nelson, Bernice Bello, Jeannie Bosen, Aleen Duckworth and Naomi Openshaw have been coordinating the 1: 5 p.m . events held in the Pleasant 30-- Green Ward House, 8739 W 3000 S. Joan Burnside, executive chairman of the event envisioned an afternoon designed to provide new horizons for Magna women of all ages 12 and older and is pleased to see it all coming to fruition. All of us have talents and we are encouraging all women to seek their talents, perfect them, and enjoy doing so. Demonstration and display booths will include leather crafting, polyester scrap rugs, counted cross stitch, tatting, haircutting and oil hair painting, design, cosmetics and application techniques, cake decorating, quilting, floral arranging, quickie crafts and writing personal histories. Several of Magnas fine young talents will be performing on stage throughout the afternoon. On piano will be Pauline Turpin, Sandy Maestas, and Carma Lee Perfili. Vocalists will include Kathy Inkley, Theresa Daniels, Heather Case, Linda McCauley and Kitchell Jones. Sisters Penny and Paula Tygeson will do a comic routine. Leah Alvis and Candy Peel will dance and Leigh Devey and Susan Cleverly, gymhasts, will perform. It seems that mothers tend not only to pass on physical traits, but also similar interests. A very special photographic collection will be displayed entitled Look Alike Do Alike. The selections will picture mothers and daughters participating together in various pastimes. Included aie Joey Saddler and her nine daughters in a family orchestra, Lois Harmon and her three daughters AKeriniooini daughters in her wedding gown in the same pose, will also be displayed. Art Fest applications Park City Art Festival applications are now available at the Kimball Art Center. Entry deadline is May 7. The Festival, one of the areas largest summer events, will once again be held on Park Citys Historic Main Street. In its 12 year history, the Festival has gained national lecognition and attention.
