Leaving Logan early Thursday morning the Grizzlies defeated Downey In an afternoon game by Frank McNeil, the score of regular of last year's division championship team, placed well in this game scoring 11 of hi team's points and also playing a The Logan floor game. good guards did their share of winning when they allowed Dcwney but five field goals. RYAN SCORES HIGH FOR GRIZZLIES. Thursday evening,- the Grizzlies played .McCaoiinoi! high school and with Stewart Ryan leplacing McNeil as high scorer, the "Maroon and White" athletes again emerged victorious this time by a 26-- 8 score. The following night Idaho FallR wag the next Grizzly victim the Fall3 team being unable to Btop the brilliant passing attack and floor play of the visitors, Logan It was in this winning game that the Grizzlies played probably their best game of the trip. Playing on a big floor the Logan boys hit their stride in , great style. After three hard games and a in smri'l gym, Arimo playing came nearly spoiling a perfect record Saturday night when they held' the Logan team to a close burnt score. Apparently out from their previous three games in two days, the Grizzlies were not at their best and weio very fortunate to eke out by a one point margin. . The Idaho tour brought out many things to Mentor Burns. It gave him a fairly good lineup on his men and it tended to indicate that the Grizzlies have apparently broken their bad habit of excessive fouling and further indicated that the Gilzzlies are a much more dangerous team on a large floor than they are on a small one. As a general rule, Logan high school basketball teams going into Idaho have been handicapped by the Idaho officials not Jetting them rough It as much as they do in the Cache division. But from all indications the only game they were handicapped in, due to fouling was at Idaho Falls where the official was very strict in his penalties. The boys will not resume practice until Friday of this week and throughout the Christmas sessions holidays, the practice will be of a light nature. Some scrimmage with an outside team may be indulged in. Immediately afy;r school starts however, the Grizzlies will settle down with of fooling grim determination some of these wiseacres who predict a bad hoop season for Logan high. 9 1 Trip Week-en- d V p U OUR BOARDING HOUSE Make Clean Sweep Of r c' i ! - c-c- r t T' w r i Ladies Felt Satin and Leather House Slippers j te J j e Id If; , -- mill- - low el tiie J. in at Knn'ipoii. ate .
