Paragraph 18 of said ordi nance is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following: Provided, however, that no, such sewer construction shall be made without written authonza- tion from the Board of County Commissioners of Salt Lake County. 4. The said ordinance is further amended by inserting immediately following paragraph 18 thereof the following new paragraph: Section 18-PROVISION FOR COST OF EXTENDING SEWER. Whenever any individual, corporation, or company shall request toe extension and construction of any sewer system beyond the main sewer lines then installed and the cost of the extension u to be paid for by Salt Lake County, then before such request is complied with, there shall be submitted to the County a bond guaranteeing toe improvements, l e., residences, etc., the amount of such bond to be set by the Board of County Commissioners. Improvements guaranteed must not be leas than one connection for each 50 feet, or part thereof, of toe extended mam sewer line. The construction of all connections from the main sewer" line Shall be and the cost thereof defray- ed by the applicant for said sewer connections. This ordinance shall take effect at 12:00 oclock noon on the 2nd day of June, A. D., 1951. Its I iisMame' Date of last publication, NOTICE COUNTY SEWER ORDINANCE TO BE ENFORCED ' Because of the many complaints being received by the County Board of Health, notice is hereby given that the Ordinance pertaining to sewers will be enforced by the County Legal Department, if necessary. According to the Ordinance, it is unlawful for the owner, agent or occupant of property abutting the sewer system embraced within the limits of the Sewer District and within 200 feet on either side of the main or lateral sewer line of said district, to fail to immed-'- , iately remove and fill up all privy vaults and cesspools on such property and to make connection with the sewer system at once.
