Show I J Society 9lotc4 THORNE FARMER A charming wedding of late summer took place on Monday evening when Miss Melba Fanner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Farmer became the bride of De Wayne Thorne, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Thome. The ceremony was performed at seven thirty In the presence of the Immediate families and a few close friends at the Utah Copper Club. The bride wore a lovely white satin gown with a lace yoke and Elizabethan collar. Her long tulle veil was lace trimmed to match the gown and held to her head with tiny orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of brides roses and sweet peas tied with tulle streamer! Miss Elsie mills of Salt Lake City, the brides maid, wore a pink chiffon gown and carried a bouquet of lavender sweet peas. Rulen Baker acted as best man for the groom. The bridal party stood In front of the fire place at the club which was banked with ferns and flowers In an effective manner. Bishop E. R the Dlmond officiated. Following ceremony, a reoeptlon was held at the club. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Farmer, Mr and Mrs. R. B. Thorne and Mr. and Mrs David Hatton were in the receiving line. Misses Daisy Wilkin and Edith Christensen received the gifts at the door. Mrs. Emma Rowter of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Leola Mantle were In charge of the gift room. Mrs. H. A. McMaster was In charge of the refreshments- Miss Beth Farmer, sister of the bride, and Mias Sarah Jones --served punch. Three hundred guests called during the evening. After a short wedding trip, the young couple will make their home In Magna. Last Friday evening Miss Margaret Jones and Miss Elizabeth Harrison entertained at a miscellaneous shower honoring Miss Farmer at Miss O' Harrison's home on Center Street.
