LEONA CARLSON Scout Courts of Honor were in the Richmond conducted wards Sunday evening. At the ward Scoutmaster Richmond Reed Woodland was in charge. was by Explorer Invocation George J. Duce. Congregational singing was led by Nancy Carlson, accompanied by Sharon Leaders in scouting were recognized. District Scout Chairman Roy Christensen. Elvin Dennis, Rolla Hawkins, Bert Erickson, S. R. Christensen, Donald Humphreys and Glen Smith. The Flag Ceremony was conducted by John Spencer with Joey Carlson, Sam Dahle and Brent Carlson color bearers. Scouf talks were given by John Spencer and Lynn Skidmore and Scouter Elvin Dennis. Lyn Miller sang God Gave Me Dear America, accompanied by his Mother Elda Miller. Traveller recognized Wayne the Ohb Scouts and their Den Mothers. Ruth Ryan, Virginia Flemming, Vonda Taylor and Effie Hodges. Reed Woodland gave recognition to the Guide Patrol and their teachers, Bona-de- ll Skidmore and Donna Carlson. Sam Dahle assisted Scoutmaster Woodland in the candle lighting ceremony as scouts and scouters repeated the 12 points of the Scout Law. Eagle Scout Bob Bullen was recognized and presented tenderfoot awards to Kent Ryan, Jerrv Miller, Alvin Imon, Dennis Baer and Kenneth Traveller. Assistant Scoutmaster Earl Egan awarded merit badges to John Hayes in cooking, life saving and swimming; to Edua'd Miller for insect, bird and reptile itudy; to Stephen Lason and Ronnie Lewis a merit badge for first aid. Comments were given by Bishop Erickson and benediction by Scout Larrv Moon. South Ward Clendon At the South Ward Bair was in charge. Invocation was by Clarence Funk. The flag by ceremony was conducted Brent White, with Bobby Sorensen Larry Larson and Terry Bair, color bearers. Scout talks were given by Lanny Johnson, and Jay Smith. The Explorer talk was by Lynn Vinson. The court of honor was conducted by Council Representative Floyd White. Delbert Egan awarded merit badge to Clarence Funk, Floyd White and Brent White. Stake representative Jed Robinson represented the Cub Scout. A accord on solo was played by Roger Harris and remark by Theron Andher of the bishopric. Put The congregation sang Vour Shoulder to the Wheel and the benediction was by Scout Leland Thompson. Visiting teacher of the Richmond ward Relief Society were honored Tuesday in recognition of their outstanding achievement of 1955. During the year a record of 100 percent visits was made in all districts. A delicious turkey dinner was served by officers and class leaders. At a meeting following the dinner Mrs. Verna Hyer of the stake presidency paid tribute to the visiting teachers, commending them for their high record. It is their strength and service that is fulfilling the original purpose for which Relief Society was organized, she said. The Teachers message was presented by the stake class leader Hedvig Bingham. Concluding numbers for the afternoon were three songs by the Smithfield girls trio Vaudis Nelson, Roma Federico and Cherril Fisher. A dance followed the program with LaMarr Carlson directing. Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Baer and daughter Alanllee went to Salt Lake"City to the clinic at the Primary childrens hosptial two weeks ago.
