STRIKE IS RENEWED workmen in st petersburg are for an eight hour flour day st petersburg Is again face to lac face with a renewal of the labor upheaval the immediate incitement being the failure of the workmen to secure pay ment tor for the time they were out on strike added to the tact fact that there has been no adjustment of the demands which led to the e fast month the Pu iron works where the former strike originated Is playing the principal part there are 30 workmen already out within the me tro polls district and workmen at the torpedo factory in eighteen miles distant have joined the strikers there Is a strong prospect of the tile movement extending only energetic measures by the troops and the police prevented the resumption friday of the former tac tics of the strikers marching from factory to factory and inducing or compelling employees to lay down their tools thus tar far there has been no dis order in st petersburg and the au les appear to have the situation well in hand in this respect it Is generally believed that such eions have been taken as will preclude the repetition of the bloodshed of jan uary nary 22 however circumstantial reports forts that the revolutionary element elemen t p Is about to join alth ith the strikers and ind resort to bomb throwing are causing grave apprehensions
