The result is the joining of the campus directly with the parking of University avenue and has the effect of increasing the extent of the campus, and of improving the genmade to eral appearance of the grounds. tf Many new offices are being installed in the Education building. The old typewriter room is being cut up into six office rooms, and a new hall is being cut through the wall which will join this set of offices with those in the south part of the building. The grounds at the Maeser are also much improved as a result of the efforts made last spring and the care given during the summer. There is an excellent turf in the circular plot immediately in front of the Memorial building, and the 57 varieties of trees which are to form the new arboretum and which were planted by the senior class of last year, are with about five exceptions, all alive and doing well. The Trainig School building and gymnasium are being thoroughly renovated inside including the furne ishings. A coat of paint on the of this building is improving its appearance very much. The greatly enlarged library during the past year, has necessitated increased room ancl the large classroom in the south end of the Education building second floor is being put into shape to serve this purpose. This room joins the office of the Director of Theology, and will ultimately be used no doubt for housing the big theological library of the out-sid- - I WashingBecgstead, of Topenish, ton; Dr. Frank H.
