On a third down and 23, North Sevier scored on a tricky double pass to a wide open receiver for their second score. The Cowboys blew a golden opportunity to score midway through the period when linebacker Zach White intercepted a pass on the Cowboy 28 and returned it all the way back to the North Sevier 20. Two plays later the Wolves had the bsdl back, this time on an interception on their own 12. Instead of a 14-- 7 game, North Sevier drove the length of the field before the half and scored with :29 left to lead 21-- 0 at the break. The second halfstarted ofifjust as bad, as North Sevier intercepted the ball on the second play on the Cowboy 22. The Wolves converted a fourth and five, getting down to the 10 yard line. Hallows scored again, this time on third and goal from the six yard line and North Sevier led 28-- 0 just three minutes into the second half. After both teams exchanged punts, Kanab started a drive from their own 25. Sophomore quarterback JR Quamberg came into the game and led the Cowboys down for a score. Fullback Andy McFadden ripped off runs of seven and 10 yards. A pass interference call gave Kanab a first down on the North Sevier 39. Faced with a fourth and 15, Quamberg completed a 25 yard pass to Kyle Brunner to the 19 yard line. A holding penalty on the Cowboys pushed them right back to the 35. After a five yard pickup, North Sevier was guilty of another P.I. and the Cowboys had a first down on the 15. Kanab was faced with another fourth down and another penalty gave North Sevier took the kickoff and drove down to the Cowboy nine yard line before they were stopped. Kanab took over on downs, but with only 5:31 left in the game, they needed some big plays fast.
