Show Sports Fredonia Lynx wins big 44-- 0 By Kent Mason Oh, what a difference one short week can make. After last week's 38 to 14 loss to Alamo, Nevada, the Lynx had to asking themselves, Are they that good or are we that bad? Now this week, after their total domination of ;he Bagdad team, they have to ae asking, Are we that good or are they that bad? Bagdad took the opening kick- off and after completing a pass for four yards, they were penal- ized for five yards. A run for one yard, followed by a run for no gain had them facing a fourth down and 10 yards to go for the first down. A short punt gave Fredonia possession on the Bagdad 31 yard line. From there, the Lynx offense sputtered momentarily. An incomplete pass followed by a one yard run by Clint McCormick was followed by another incomplete pass and the Lynx were looking a a fourth down and nine yards to go from the Bagdad 30. Electing to go for it on fourth down, quarterback Tyrel Sanders fired a pass out in the flat to Zach Tait. A good run by Tait after the catch took the ball all the way down to the six yard line. A rougningthe passer call on Bagdad moved the ball near the goal line to the 3. From there, Zach Tait banged it up the middle for the score. A Tyrel Sanders pass to Josiah Nash was good for the two point conversion and the Lynx offense was in business. Lynx 8, Sultans 0, with less than four minutes gone off the clock. This Bagdad team is the same team which trampled the Seligman Antelopes into the turf a week ago in a game which ended early via the 42 point mercy rule. The Fredonia defense was, for want of a more awesome description, totally awesome.
