Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY MARCH 32, 1839 News 2 Utah Highway Patrol By Trooper Russell Whitaker For the week of March 6th to the 12th, troopers of the Utah Highway Patrol stopped a total of 130 vehicles, wrote 113 citations, issued 44 warnings, investigated three accidents, assisted Five motorists, and took four impaired drivers off the road. Trooper Cluff had set time aside to run The Lane to try to find a drunk driver. Nearing the witching hour, Cluff started towards town and ran into Victoria and Irvin Ray. Irv and Vicky took up a couple hours of Guffs time, as they were ar- rested for marijuana and meth. Completing the visit with the Rays, Cluff headed down The Lane where he found Richard Hamblin, Jr. Richard had been somewhere near the UtahAri-zon- a border sippin' spirits, and tried to make it up into Kanab. Shortly after being stopped, Richard was taken to the Kane County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol.
