The council members have requested that all interested parties attend the public hearing in which a discussion will be held concerning the formation of a Special Improvement District. The Special Improvement District would be organized to install a sewer collection system in the Kanab Creek Ranchos (KCR). It is being proposed that KCR be divided into two separate areas. Section one will be properties located south of Kanab Creek Dr., consistingof approximately 385 homes and 883 lots. Section two will be those lots on the north which are generally 2 to 5 acres with approximately 210 lots. Council members felt all KCR residents need to voice their concerns and comments as well as listen to the reasoningbehind the issue. Council member Coleman thanked all of those who turned out for the Kanab City Library Open House which was held Friday, March 19. The program was presented to a standing room only crowd and warmly received. Mayor Alvey and council member Sullivan applauded Coleman, the Library Board and Friends of the Library for an excellent presentation. Librarian Marilyn Watson was quoted with, We are especially grateful to all of you who served on committees, volunteered time serand energy, gave vices, donations and money over the years.
