Show Pr COMMUNITY Local tour steak fry been doing. The dis- theyve trict recognized the Robinsons as the 1997 Kane SCD Ranchers of the Year and recently gave them an award at a district meeting this last winter. We will meet at the Kanab City Park at 1:30 to leave on the tour. Following the tour, the district will sponsor a steak fry at 5 p.m. on Bruce Buntings ranch, located near the Robinsons place. Thedistrictwouldliketo invite all of the producers and cooperators in the Kane County Soil Conservation District to at- tend the tour and steak fry, enjoy each others company, and visit about the local conservation partnership, and various programs producers can participate in. The district is asking for a $5 donation and would like you to RSVP by May 30 so they will know how many steaks and food supplies to buy. She was born on January 2, 1905 in Manti, Utah, a daughter of Nathaniel Henry Jr. and Mary great-gregranddaughter; 1 Elvira Clark Felt. Beth was reared and educated in Manti and attended one year of High School in Provo. She played piano for movies before there were talkies. While living at Hite, Utah she taught school for one year. She and her husband operated the ferry on the Colorado River between Garfield and San Juan Counties. While living in Manti, she worked at the parachute plant. She was very active in the LDS Church and taught in many of the organizations. Using her musical talents, she served in organizations as a pianist. She worked in the extraction program for 9 and 12 years. She-anher husband were called to the Arkansas, Little Rock mission, and served honorably for 18 months in June of 1976. She loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. She loved the Native Americans and she and her husband supported two Na- came to be loved and to enjoy her excellent cooking. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple in 1955. Lenna was a wonderful mother and grandmother, a sweetheart that everyone enjoyed being around. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16, 1998 in the Kanab Utah Stake Center. Burial was in the Kanab City Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary. Margaret Walker Margaret Sharratt Walker, 90, passed away on May 11, 1998 at the Valley View Medical Center. She was born on April 23, 1908 in Cedar City, Utah to David Dunn and Barbara Elker Sharratt. On August 12, 1925, Margaret married Rolland Evan Walker in Parowan. Their marriage was solemnized on December 12, 1935. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 6, 1982 and three children, LuDawnaW. Robinson, Barbara Walker, and David Walker. Margaret loved playing pinochle, crocheting, ceramics, fishing and going to the mountains. She worked at the hospital for 28 years. Margaret was the first ER technician at Valley View Medical Center. After she retired, she spent her summers at Panguitch Lake and her winters in Overton, Nevada. Margaret is survived by her children; Mary Walker Barney of Kanab; Karon W. Lund of Washington, and Leland Dee Walker of Washington; 16 grandchildren; 40 , great-grandchildre- great-gre- and two n, . at grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 16, 1998 at the North Stake Center LDS Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. It is time to update the Countys General Plan so that we can remain out in front of increasingprivate and public lands management issues in unincorporated areas in Kane County. The countys planning team and commission will be on hand for an informal give and take on the plan and the issues that face us today, said Kane County Commission Chairman Norman Carroll.
