They cannot get any answers of why the price jumped so much. He feels an audit needs to be done of the Auxiliary. Commissioners were surprised their by-ladid not require one. The committees goal is to beautify the triangles in front of Parrys Lodge and the old Library. The proposed statues will be double life size with nice landscaping. The committee is trying to raise money to cover the cost of the bronze statues. The total estimated cost of the monuments would be $455,000. There is an offer for matching funds of $155,000, leaving a cost of $300,000. The committee asked for $20,000 from the county to help with one of the memorials.
