SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY AUGUST 30, 1995 Project 2000 Project 2000 is a program where seniors, or anyone, may participate helping teachers in the classroom. The teachers are accommodating more and more children in the same classroom spaces. They have several activities going on at once and truly need help with making sure every student gets equal help with their various studies. This program becomes a won- derful bonding with adults and children, as they look forward to your visit once a week for an hour, 45 minutes, or more, depending on your schedule. We would like to encourage all those interested, that have time they can put to good volunteer use, to call Rosemary 9 or Virginia Goldy at This proPezel at gram is sponsored by the Kanab Womens Civic Club. 644-246- 644-570- 2. Soil life also provides the food the plants need when they need it by converting the organic fertilizers whatever organic matter from former plants or mulch may be available, into humus and usable compounds for the plants roots to absorb, which in turn, brings greater health to the plants and provides them with the ability to withstand pests and diseases, Cuttings from an organically fed causes no problems for the and potassium the three essen-grotial elements all plants need. Nitrogen provides the fresh, green grassy color we all want in our lawns. Phosphorus aids in strong root development while potassium strengthens the grass g d blades, so their pacity is increased. The special formula I will be using this fall is called Fall Lawns Alive. Come spring I will apply Spring Lawns Alive. I do not intend to plant any grass seed, even though we have only patches of it and the rest is If in these n two applications I succeed in ing an acceptable lawn (which I have no doubt about), it will be added proof that organics are of immense value!
