Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS Opinion 4 WEDNESDAY JUNE 21, 1835 Dixie Speaks Too many accidents have occured at the Tod's Junction intersection. Northbound drivers should be warned to remain entirely in their lane, and not to turn until they've ascertained that the southbound lane is clear. Southbound motorists should be warned that using a reduced speed up the hill and through the intersection, will increase their chances of safely passing through the treacherous intersection. ' But the warnings have fallen on deaf ears. The Utah Highway Patrol has repeatedly asked the DOT to take action to minimize accidents. They have not responded. The serious accidents at Tod's Junction will continue until some physical work is done to the intersection. The Department of Transportation has a responsibility for making our highways safe. By not correcting the deadly Tod's Junction intersection, the DOT is failing in that mission. The DOT should act quickly in correcting the problems at the intersection. We dont want anyone to think their home is unworthy or that they personally are not Dear Editor: There was a homeowner meeting June 15 in KCR. Were you there? Why not? It is only a few hours of your time. Again the few must speak for the many. This is your community, what happens here should be of concern to you as it could affect your way of life and your investment. Did you know that unless you speak up at the city council meeting or before June 27, you might wake up to a mobile home going in on the lot next door? You dont have an empty lot next to you well your friends and neighbors might. We all know that mobile, pit-fal- ls manufactured and modular . homes do not increase in value in relation to a conventional home. If modulars are allowed, soon the nicer conventional homes will be in the minority simply because new builders will not move next to a mobile or modular home. This is not a case of us against them. There are many mobile homes in KCR that are lovely and well kept while there are conventional houses here that are a mess. Most of us AAA re- spected. However, when we moved to KCR, we were given a copy of the CC&Rs and knew Don and Florence Harris from the beginning that modulars and mobiles were not Homeowners beware Southern Utah News Deadlines AAA FRIDAY 1 PM See LETTERS, Page 5 The Southern Utah News (ISSN No. 0049-165Is published every N.
