This event is celebrated worldwide by over 8 million Girls Scouts and Girl Guides in about 118 countries. The five girls, Megan Button, Elizabeth Corry, Camille Ensle, Renata Burian and Autumn Aziz dressed up the auditorium at Kanab Elementary School with maps, and articles from the country they chose to represent. Camille Ensle said it was worth the effort. Its a good opportunity for the other girls to learn about Girl Scouts or Girl Guides in other countries. Everyone had a good time. The room was bustling with giggling girls as each patiently waited her turn to taste such unique treats as Lebanese and Mexican cookies, Ukraine cream cheese twists, and the native fruit of Korea and New Zealand. It was fun and I think the girls liked the exhibits, said Eagles in the Boy Scouts), and sponsoring World Associating Day was a step in that direction. Everyone of these girls exhibits leadership qualities. The girl scouting is helping them to advance in these qualities and gives them good paths to walk upon. I am happy to be their leader and I enjoy every one of them. Each Girl Scout who came to this happy gathering earned a World Association Pin. And besides the pin, each Cadette earned a big thank you from those who attended. Renata Burian. Her fellow Cadette, Elizabeth Corry, agreed.
