Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS TUESDAY OCTOBER 27. 1992 School Red Ribbon Week This paxt week was Red Rib-loWeek. To try to get the high school involved. Project Teamwork did many activities. Since there was no school on Monday, we started on Tuesday by passing out "Hot to not" ribbons to the student body who wore them throughout the week. Because there were so many winners, IGA consented to donating a pumpkin to each winner. The school lunch program thanks parents for coming to eat with their kids last week. On Wednesday there was an assembly for the student body and the teachers. The Deer Hunters Ball was on Thursday evening. In between the rifle drawing and the announcement of the winners of the Sweetheart Contest, door prizes were given out. Shane Nordfelt won the rifle. Funds for each student is $1 ,000. Students from past close upprojectshave gained an abundance of knowledge and experience from the trip to Washington, D C. Hopefully, many students can be involved in the program. Valley Elementary P.T.S.A. is hosting a Halloween carnival under the direction of Lucy Griffiths on Ocober31, from 3:00 to 5:00. Several carnival booths and other such fun activities as a cake walk, bake sale and prizes for those who wear costumes. A free ticket is offered to the booth of their choice. Come join the fun. Valley High Student of the Week By Myrna Cox Experienced Leadership Business Experience Understands Current Issues Committed to Kane County volved in wrestling, honor society, and also FHA. He has done exceptional things for the school. K.C. has learned Valley High School has began selecting kids to be the student of the week. These kids are being chosen because of their abilities to help the school in any way they can, and to help Valley how to use the system and has been sharing his knowlege with other students and CD-RO- teachers.
