May 6. a total of258 brown-ba- g lunches were served to Kanab High School students and faculty. How ? The gates were locked end everyone was given a free lunch, no strings attached. And they were allowed an entire uninterrupted lunch period. A great time was had by all. according to lunch supervisor. Barbara Hamblin. 60-minu- te aptyr fh memory of Rex" died his at Schoenfeld, age 94, home in Kanab on May 9, 1991. He was bom April 7, 1897, in Brighton, Utah, to Joseph and Emma Boss Schoenfeld. He joined the Army in 1918 in Provo, Utah, and was honorably discharged from World War I in January, 1919. He married Gwen Mackelprang on June 4, 1924, at Johnson, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died in March, 1980. He married Leola Chatterley on Feb. 12, 1982. He worked as a mechanic, farmer, rancher, and for Kaibab Industries. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a High Councilman, a missionary, and an ordinance Ralph worker in th e St. George T emple. Survivors include his wife, Leola of Kanab; three sons, Leon of Phoenix, Ariz., Fred of Chicago, 111., and Kenneth ofKanab; two brothers, Clyde of Kearns, Utah, and LaMont of St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; four step children;15 step grandchildren; and 34 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Jane; a grandson, Kenneth Dale; and three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 13, in the Kanab Utah Stake Center. Mr. Stone was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He attended business college in Laurence, Kan. He worked as an Indian agent in Ft. He married Bonnie Milton Johnson of Lander, Wyo., and GAZEBO! Choir, Band and Dancers from the South Pacific, entertaining with Polynesian Style Dance and Song! that night. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel L. Johnson, and a sister, Martha Love. Funeral Services were held Robert Sidney Stone, age 72, Saturday, May 18, at Mosdell died May 15, 1991, at the VA Mortuary in Kanab, with burial in the Kanab City Cemetery. Clifford Flynn Clifford Calvin Flynn, age 76, diedMay 1 0, 1 991 , in St George, Utah. He wasbom July 29, 1914, in Tuskahoma, Okla., to Meredith Franklin and Elizabeth Winton Flynn. He married Theda Swapp on May 31, 1941, in Flagstaff, Ariz. He served three and a half years in the Pacific in the Navy Seabees during World War II. He retired from the National Park Service in June of 1973 after 33 years of service, most of which was at the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon. He also worked for the maintenance department in Tucson for th e Un i ver si ty of Arizon a an d as a security guard for Kaibab Industries in Fredonia, Ariz. He was a member of the Williams-Gran- d Canyon Lodge 38 F&AM in Williams, Ariz. His hobbies were gardening, building, and visiting with people. Survivors include his wife, Theda of Kanab; a son, James Clifford Flynn of Tucson; a daughter, Maureen Flynn of Toquerville, Utah; one sister, Mrs. Beryl (Dorothy) Wilkes of Olton, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. p.m. Memorial services were held on Friday, May 17, at Mosdell Mortuary in Kanab.
