STARTER HOME OUTSIDE KANAB PETITIONS F OR OWNERSHIP Kanab City is presently petitioning the Sixth Judicial District Court of Kane County for the deed to its streets. In the 1880's when the Patent for the Kanab Townsite was issued, the deed to Kanab's streets was vested in the probate judge. When Kanab was incorporated, the probate judge in office failed to deed the property to Kanab City. Consequently, title to Kanabs streets rests in the existing probate judge of Kane County. In order to regain title to its streets, Kanab is bringing this action. All those who have received deeds to Kanab City streets and who may have questions regarding this petition are asked to contact Keith McAllister, Kanab City Manager.
